The world of wrestling has lost one of its biggest legends—Hulk Hogan, born Terry Bollea, passed away at the age of 71 after a cardiac arrest at his Florida home on July 24.
The larger-than-life figure of the 1980s and 1990s, Hogan inspired generations with his powerful presence in the ring. Known for his iconic yellow costume and catchphrases, he was more than a wrestling star—he was a cultural phenomenon.
Telugu superstar Allu Arjun took to Instagram to remember his childhood hero. Sharing a photo of Hogan ripping his costume in the ring, the Pushpa actor wrote:
“A childhood hero. A wrestling icon. Hulk Hogan wasn’t just a superstar… he was a phenomenon we all grew up idolizing. Heartbroken to hear of his passing. Rest in peace.”

Earlier, Bollywood actor Varun Dhawan also paid his respects, writing:
“You inspired an entire generation Hulkster. RIP.”

Hulk Hogan rose to fame after joining the World Wrestling Federation (WWF) in the early 1980s, which later became WWE. He headlined WrestleMania eight times and won six WWE championships. His influence also extended beyond the ring with appearances in films like Rocky III, Mr. Nanny, Suburban Commando, and the TV show Baywatch.
From fellow wrestling stars like The Rock and Ric Flair to fans around the globe, tributes continue to pour in for the man who changed the face of wrestling forever. Even former U.S. President Donald Trump shared his condolences.
