The prestigious National Film Awards 2081 was held on Monday at the President’s Office, Shital Niwas. Organized by the Film Development Board and graced by President Ram Chandra Paudel as the chief guest, the event celebrated the shining stars of Nepal’s film industry.
Among the biggest winners of the night, Bijay Baral and Upasana Singh Thakuri took home the awards for Best Actor and Best Actress. Baral was honored for his powerful performance in Purna Bahadurko Sarangi, while Thakuri received the award for her role in Khusma.
‘Shambhala’ Shines Bright
The film Shambhala emerged as the biggest winner, taking home Best Film and also earning Min Bahadur Bham the award for Best Director.
Esteemed Guests and Attendees
The award ceremony saw participation from legendary artists, producers, directors, and media personalities from the Nepali film industry. The event was chaired by Film Development Board President Dinesh DC, with Minister of Communication and Information Technology, Prithvi Subba Gurung, as the special guest.
