A shocking murder case in Janakpur has taken a new turn after police publicly revealed the identity of a young woman arrested in connection with the killing of 28-year-old Bimlesh Yadav, also known as Shani, a resident of Parsaha in Mahottari Rural Municipality-1.
The District Police Office Dhanusha presented 24-year-old Juli Jha of Banouta, Balwa Municipality Ward No. 7, Mahottari, during a press conference on Monday morning. She is accused of fatally stabbing Bimlesh and pushing him from the first floor of Hotel SP & Guest House in Janakpur on Saturday night.
According to police investigations, Bimlesh and Juli checked into the hotel at around 9:55 PM on Saturday. Around five hours later, at 2:57 AM Sunday, CCTV footage captured a disturbing scene: Bimlesh, naked and bleeding, was seen falling from the first floor. Just moments later, Juli was caught on camera descending the stairs and fleeing the scene.
Bimlesh was rushed to Provincial Hospital Janakpur, but he succumbed to his injuries at 7:45 AM on Sunday morning.
Police arrested Juli on Sunday afternoon, citing evidence from CCTV footage and witness accounts. Initial investigations suggest that a dispute involving money and a personal affair may have led to the brutal incident.
Further investigations are underway to determine the full circumstances surrounding the murder.
