Operational disruptions at Bir Hospital, caused by a technical malfunction, have affected the distribution of OPD tickets. Patients expressed frustration, claiming they were unable to obtain tickets even after standing in line for hours.
Speaking to Onlinekhabar, a patient shared their disappointment, stating that the prolonged wait yielded no result.
Hospital Information Officer Sitaram Khadka acknowledged that the server outage since early morning had hindered ticket distribution but emphasized that patients were not being turned away.
“We are issuing free OPD tickets today due to the server problem,” Khadka explained. “Tickets are being stamped and distributed to those waiting in line, and doctors have already started attending to patients.”
Server-related disruptions have become a regular occurrence at Bir Hospital, Nepal’s oldest medical institution. While these outages inconvenience patients, a permanent resolution to this ongoing issue remains unaddressed.
