A tragic domestic incident unfolded in Golbazar Municipality-3, Siraha, where a man was killed while trying to stop a fight between his brother and sister-in-law.
According to DSP Birendra Kumar Paswan, 35-year-old Motiram Sada was attacked with a khukuri by his younger brother Shyam Sada (25) during a heated family dispute.
The conflict occurred around 9 PM on Thursday night, when Shyam and his wife Kaushalya Sada were involved in a domestic altercation. Motiram tried to intervene and calm the situation, but in a sudden act of violence, Shyam attacked him with a sharp khukuri.
Motiram sustained serious injuries and was rushed to Provincial Hospital in Lahan, where he passed away during treatment at around 11:15 PM.
Shyam, who fled the scene after the attack, was arrested the following morning by Siraha police near the border area of Aurahi Rural Municipality.
The District Police Office, Siraha, has launched a detailed investigation into the incident.
