A cafe worker has killed a customer in Chyasal, Lalitpur Metropolitan City-9.
According to Lalitpur Police Chief SSP Shekhar Koirala, the worker killed the customer at the cafe’s counter last night.
The incident occurred after a dispute over the bill. The worker, 26-year-old Hemraj Bhattal, who works at the Town of Cafe in Chyasal, attacked 23-year-old Nayan Gurung from Itahari, Sunsari, with a knife.
Following the argument, Bhattal and Gurung had a physical fight outside the cafe. During the altercation, Bhattal stabbed Gurung, resulting in his death, as reported by Police Spokesperson Khana.
Bhattal was arrested by the Lalitpur police on Monday night. Despite being taken to B&B Hospital in Gwarko for treatment, Gurung died from his injuries.
As soon as the news broke, police teams from the Bal Kumari Police Post and Lalitpur District Police arrested Bhattal and took him into custody.
Police are also questioning the cafe’s manager and cook as part of the investigation.
