DAY6 is under fire after fans voiced serious concerns over the extreme ID verification process at their ongoing fan meeting “PIER 10: All My Days.” The six-day event, celebrating the group’s 10th debut anniversary, began on July 18 at Jamsil Indoor Stadium in Seoul and was completely sold out during the fan club pre-sale.

However, since July 21, complaints have flooded online platforms. Fans criticized the event’s strict entry rules, claiming they were tougher than airport security, national elections, or even applying for a bank loan. At the center of the outrage is a mandatory in-person ID check that only allows the original ticket buyer, carrying a government-issued ID, to enter.

This policy sparked outrage among fans who wished to gift their tickets to family or friends. One fan claimed that staff were asking people to upload sensitive documents—like IDs with resident registration numbers—into group chats, calling it a serious invasion of privacy and a potential violation of personal data laws.

Another attendee shared that even with her mother’s ID, a family relation certificate, and her own ID, she was denied entry. She also witnessed others being told to submit private documents in group chats, which has led to demands for legal accountability and public awareness.

The situation grew more heated when it was reported that some fans were turned away even after police confirmed their identities, raising alarms about staff overstepping legal authority and accusations of power abuse.

While a few fans said they entered without issue by following the document submission rules alone, most agreed the event lacked consistent management. Many now urge the agency to investigate and prevent similar incidents from happening again.

DAY6’s fan base, My Day, continues to celebrate the group’s decade-long journey, but this controversy has cast a shadow over the otherwise joyous occasion.
