A tipper accident in Satyawati Rural Municipality has claimed the life of the driver, while the co-driver sustained injuries.
The tipper, bearing registration number Lu 1 Ka 5400, was carrying gravel from Ridi to Purti Ghat when it met with an accident on Friday night at Kaligandaki Corridor in Ward No. 2, Pahadi, according to police reports.
Superintendent of Police (SP) Rajan Bhujel from the District Police Office, Gulmi, stated that the driver, 24-year-old Shriram Kumal of Rainadevi Rural Municipality-1, Palpa, lost his life in the incident.
Though Kumal was rushed to the hospital for treatment, the doctors pronounced him dead upon arrival. The co-driver, 23-year-old Mohan Jaisi of Bangaun-7, Salyan, sustained minor injuries.
The police reported that the tipper fell approximately 20 meters off the road.
