Police arrested five individuals involved in online gambling from Mundandeupur Municipality, Kunt, and seized 18 mobile phones and 5 laptops, according to Kavrepalanchok District Police Chief, SP Komal Shah.
The arrested include 32-year-old Digaj Nakarmi from Bhaktapur-8, 28-year-old Sanjiv Kushi from Bhaktapur-4, 24-year-old Roshan Prajapati, 29-year-old Elis Kushma from Suryavinayak-7, and 31-year-old Rojan Maharjan from Kathmandu Metropolitan-16.
Police raided Naldoom Village Resort and Green Peace Restaurant, where the suspects were allegedly managing online gambling through apps and websites. Preliminary investigations reveal that they were operating from rented rooms with transactions exceeding millions of Nepali Rupees.
Photos of the suspects and seized materials have been released, and the investigation is ongoing.
