Flights in Taplejung have resumed after being suspended for three weeks due to poor weather. The last flight before today took place on Jestha 30.
Nepal Airlines resumes service with limited passengers
A Nepal Airlines plane arrived in Taplejung from Kathmandu today, carrying four passengers. The same aircraft flew back to Kathmandu with five passengers onboard.
Six flights affected by weather
According to Narayan Kumar Karki, the station in-charge of Nepal Airlines in Taplejung, six flights had been affected since the beginning of Asar because of bad weather brought by the monsoon season.
Flights available twice a week
Currently, Nepal Airlines operates flights between Kathmandu and Taplejung every Monday and Friday. The one-way fare from Taplejung to Kathmandu is set at Rs. 9,200 per person.
