After weeks of swirling speculation, G-Dragon’s agency, Galaxy Corporation, has stepped forward to address rumors linking the BIGBANG star with TWICE’s Sana.
The rumors ignited in April when G-Dragon tagged Sana’s personal Instagram account in a post following his attendance at Coldplay’s Music Of The Spheres concert in Korea. All TWICE members had performed as special guests at the show, but fans noticed that G-Dragon mentioned only Sana in his post—fanning the flames of possible romantic involvement. The post was soon deleted, but not before sparking widespread gossip online.
On June 2, Galaxy Corporation issued an official statement to clarify the situation and set the record straight.
According to the agency, G-Dragon had filmed a YouTube variety show titled Dex and Sana’s Fridge Interview on April 14, just one day after the conclusion of MBC’s Good Day. The show came about due to G-Dragon’s friendship with Dex, while Sana’s participation was confirmed only a day before filming.
Galaxy Corporation explained that G-Dragon’s Instagram tag was merely a friendly gesture, referencing their recent shoot together. The post, shared on April 22 after the Coldplay concert, was not meant to imply anything beyond professional camaraderie.
The agency also revealed why they remained silent on the rumors until now: “We chose not to respond earlier because we were concerned it might reveal G-Dragon’s surprise appearance on Fridge Interview ahead of its official announcement.”
With this clarification, Galaxy Corporation hopes to put the speculation to rest and redirect the public’s attention back to G-Dragon’s upcoming projects.
