Eight people were injured after being stung by hornets at Shahid Smarak in Hetauda Sub-Metropolitan City-11.
Among the injured, 78-year-old Ranumaya Gurung of Hetauda-11 is in serious condition and is being treated in the ICU at Hetauda Hospital, according to police.
The other seven have returned home after receiving treatment.
Police said the hornets attacked after a fire was lit near the forest outside the memorial area during a family ritual.
