An Indian national has been arrested in Dhading with a large amount of marijuana. According to the District Police Office, Dhading, the arrest took place at Aamptar, Benighat Rorang Rural Municipality–2.
The suspect has been identified as Sarhaj Miya, a resident of Raxaul, Bihar, India.
131 kg Marijuana Hidden in Vehicle
Police recovered 131 kilograms of marijuana packed in 31 separate bundles from a vehicle with an Indian number plate. DSP Subas Hamal, the spokesperson for the district police, confirmed the discovery.
The marijuana was hidden in a false bottom under the seats, cleverly concealed in the chassis of the vehicle to avoid detection.
The suspect is in custody, and further investigation is underway.
