Is Everyone Involved in the Visit Visa Scam — From PM to Clerks? RPP Demands Investigation

RPP accuses high-level officials in visit visa misuse case

Rastriya Prajatantra Party (RPP) lawmaker Deepak Singh said his party will continue protesting until a parliamentary committee is formed to investigate the visit visa misuse scandal.

Parliament boycott until committee is formed
Speaking in Monday’s House of Representatives meeting, Singh warned that RPP will boycott Parliament unless a probe committee is set up. “Just like other serious matters, this issue also deserves a proper investigation through a parliamentary committee,” he said.

PM to low-level staff involved, claims Singh
Singh claimed that officials from the top level—including Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli—to lower-level staff are linked to the visit visa scam. “This issue has embarrassed Nepalis globally. Why hasn’t the government taken any step to form an investigation committee?” he questioned.

RPP slams government’s two-thirds majority use
He criticized the government for trying to run Parliament based on its two-thirds majority, despite over 41 days of obstruction. “This arrogance of the two-thirds majority cannot be accepted. Parliament should not function without addressing such serious allegations,” Singh added.
