Jacob Duffy Becomes No. 1 T20I Bowler After Stunning Performances

Jacob Duffy , New Zealand fast bowler is now the No. 1 ranked bowler in men’s T20I cricket. He overtook West Indies’ Akeal Hosein after delivering outstanding performances in the T20I series against Pakistan.

Duffy picked up 13 wickets in five matches at an impressive average of 8.38, including a career-best 4 for 14. His efforts helped New Zealand secure a 4-1 series win. This is the first time Duffy has reached the No. 1 ranking in any format, making him the first Kiwi to hold this position since Ish Sodhi in 2018.

“It’s a bit of a surprise, but it’s awesome to be on that list. It feels surreal,” Duffy said.

Seifert and Allen Shine in Batting Rankings

Duffy’s teammate Tim Seifert climbed to No. 8 in the T20I batting rankings after scoring 249 runs in five matches at an average of 62.25. He also played a career-best knock of 97* in the final game. Finn Allen also moved up one spot to No. 15.

Australia’s Travis Head remains the No. 1 T20I batter, followed by India’s Abhishek Sharma and England’s Phil Salt.

Neesham Makes a Big Leap Among Allrounders

New Zealand allrounder James Neesham made a huge jump in the T20I allrounder rankings, climbing 14 places to No. 30. His standout performance included a career-best 5 for 22 in the final T20I against Pakistan.
