A Bolero jeep carrying eggs veered off a dirt road and fell 300 meters down in Aryabhanjyang-Rampur section, Palpa, on Monday evening, leaving two dead and one critically injured.
The deceased have been identified as Binod Dhungana (46), originally from Bagnaskali-1, and Resham Sunar (48) from Galyang-7, Syangja. Both were residing in Majhuwa, Rupandehi. Dhungana, also the owner of the vehicle, died at Lumbini Medical College, while Sunar was declared dead at United Mission Hospital in Tansen.
The driver, Raju Khadka (30) from Butwal-11, is in serious condition and receiving treatment at Lumbini Medical College.
Police said the jeep (Lu 1 Cha 6756) was heading toward Rampur when the accident occurred. An investigation is ongoing.
