Ju Hak Nyeon Withdraws from The Boyz Following Controversy Over Meeting with Former AV Actress Kirara Asuka

Ju Hak Nyeon has officially left the K-pop group The Boyz following revelations of his involvement in a private meeting with former Japanese adult video (AV) actress Kirara Asuka.

According to News1 Korea on June 18, Ju Hak Nyeon attended a gathering at a bar in Tokyo’s Roppongi district on the night of May 29. He was accompanied by several acquaintances, and the event reportedly included Kirara Asuka, who retired from the AV industry in 2020 and now works as a social media influencer.

Japanese media outlet Shukan Bunshun published photos capturing moments of close interaction between Ju Hak Nyeon and Kirara Asuka, including embraces and Asuka resting her chin on his shoulder, indicating a level of physical familiarity.

The situation came to light after One Hundred Label, The Boyz’s agency, initially announced on June 16 that Ju Hak Nyeon would be suspending his activities due to unspecified “personal reasons.” However, following public scrutiny and circulation of the photos and reports from the Tokyo meeting, the agency confirmed that the controversy was the direct cause behind his decision to leave the group.
