Akshay Kumar’s latest film, Kesari Chapter 2, has displayed some positive signs at the box office, following a somewhat slow start. While the film is showing growth, its momentum has been less than expected. After its opening weekend, the film is on the verge of crossing ₹50 crore globally, but it has not yet achieved this milestone.
As of Day 3, Kesari Chapter 2 has accumulated ₹29.50 crore net (₹35.25 crore gross) from Indian box offices, which is considered a modest performance. However, the film has done well internationally, bringing in ₹14.50 crore from overseas markets. This has resulted in a total worldwide collection of ₹49.75 crore, surpassing the lifetime earnings of John Abraham’s The Diplomat, which grossed ₹48.10 crore globally.
While it’s still early in 2025, Kesari Chapter 2 has already secured its position as the sixth highest-grossing Hindi film of the year. By Monday, it is expected to surpass Shahid Kapoor’s Deva, entering the top five. However, its future trajectory will depend on how well it performs on Monday, with hopes of surpassing Sunny Deol’s Jaat (₹92 crore) and even Akshay Kumar’s own Sky Force (₹149 crore).
