Machhindra FC has reached the final of the Second Chief Minister Kapilvastu Tilaurakot Gold Cup Football Tournament with the help of a goal from Bimal Gharti Magar.
In the second semifinal match held on Monday, Machhindra secured an exciting 1-0 victory against Jonggrri FC Sikkim, India, confirming their final clash against Three Star FC.
The first half ended in a goalless draw. In the second half, Bimal scored in the 53rd minute, giving Machhindra the lead. Since Sikkim failed to equalize, Bimal’s goal proved to be the decisive factor in securing Machhindra’s place in the final.
Bimal, who is also the captain of Machhindra, was declared the ‘Man of the Match.’ He received a cash prize of NPR 10,000 along with a trophy.
On Sunday, Three Star FC from Lalitpur had already secured their spot in the final with a thrilling 1-0 victory against Sankata FC in the first semifinal match.
