The Madan Puraskar Guthi has announced the shortlist of seven books nominated for Nepal’s prestigious Madan Puraskar for the year 2081. The announcement was made on Tuesday through an official press release.
According to Guthi Chairperson Kunda Dixit, a total of 299 books were submitted this year for consideration. After evaluation, the following seven books have been selected in the final shortlist:

- “Chhalbato” by Ramesh Bhushal
- “Darjyu Sanlap” by Kumari Lama
- “Panchatattwako Palam” by Man Prasad Subba
- “Bahurupi” by Shreyas Subedi
- “Bhikshu, Byapar ra Bidroha” by Sudheer Sharma
- “Hiuko Geet” by Tirtha Gurung

These books represent diverse genres, themes, and voices in Nepali literature and will compete for one of the country’s most respected literary honors.
