Indra Ale Magar, a 41-year-old resident of Fikkal Rural Municipality-3, Chanoute in Sindhuli, died after falling from a tree while cutting grass.
According to Gyan Kumar Mahatto, chief of the District Police Office Sindhuli, Ale Magar fell from a “Khasro” tree in the Tinaanke Danda Community Forest. He was injured and initially taken to the local Chanoute hospital for treatment. While being referred to Charikot’s Pashupati Chaulagain Memorial Hospital for further treatment, he passed away on the way.
Due to a mudslide around 6:30 PM on Sunday, the BP Highway was blocked at multiple points, including Pinthali, Bhiruwadanda, and Kaladhunga. This forced the ambulance to reroute via Khurkot and Manthali to reach Charikot.
The BP Highway resumed operation only on Monday morning.
