NSL 2025: Ncell Becomes ‘Powered By’ Sponsor for Lalitpur City FC

Lalitpur City FC has secured a major sponsorship deal with Ncell as their ‘Powered By’ sponsor for the third season of the Nepal Super League (NSL). This partnership is expected to boost the club’s performance and provide additional support for its journey in the tournament.

Ncell’s Commitment to Sports Development

Following the sponsorship deal, Ncell’s Chief Commercial Officer, Umer Mohsin, expressed confidence that the partnership would significantly contribute to sports promotion and youth development in Nepal.

“Our collaboration with NSL and this sponsorship with Lalitpur City FC shows Ncell’s continuous commitment to fostering sports and young talent in Nepal,” Mohsin stated. “We are excited to be part of the nation’s most-loved sport and inspire enthusiasm among fans.”

As a responsible corporate organization, Ncell has been actively supporting various sports, including football, cricket, volleyball, and golf. Through the Ncell Foundation, the company has also contributed to skill development and training programs for para-athletes.

Lalitpur City FC’s Squad and Preparations

The third edition of the NSL is set to begin on March 30, 2025, featuring seven teams from across Nepal. Ncell has already been named the tournament’s main sponsor.

Lalitpur City FC has retained Nepal national team defender Ananta Tamang as their marquee player. They have also secured another national team defender, Sanish Shrestha, along with midfielder Aditya Shakya, ensuring stability in their squad.

Experienced Coach and New Signings

For this season, Lalitpur City FC will be coached by Englishman Simon Grayson. The team has further strengthened its midfield by signing national team player Mani Kumar Lama.

The squad also includes players like Santosh Khatri, Samit Shrestha, defenders Yogesh Gurung and Abhishek Waiba, and midfielders Sudip Gurung and Nabin Lama. In addition, Manoj Rai, Pawan Shahi, Dipesh Ghale, and Anish Kshetri have also joined the club.

First Match Against Kathmandu Razors

Lalitpur City FC will kick off their campaign on March 29, facing Kathmandu Razors, the champions of the first NSL season. The team will be aiming to start strong and defend their title in the competition.
