Nearly 20 million condoms have been imported into Nepal in the past eight months. In the fiscal year 2024/2025, condoms worth 15 million rupees, totaling 20 million units, have been brought into the country.
According to the Customs Department, from mid-July to mid-February, 193.4 million condoms worth 150.46 million rupees were imported.
The government has earned 6,000 rupees in revenue from this import. Condoms are imported from countries like India, China, Japan, Korea, Malaysia, and Thailand, with India being the largest supplier.
