Nepal and Uzbekistan will compete today in the Asian Amputee Football Championship. The match will start at 11:30 AM at the Bashundhara Stadium in Dhaka, Bangladesh.
Amputee football is played by athletes with physical disabilities, such as missing one leg or arm.
The tournament originally had six participating countries: Nepal, Indonesia, Bangladesh, Iran, Iraq, and Uzbekistan. However, Iran withdrew, leaving five teams to compete.
Nepal’s matches are scheduled as follows:
- The second match vs Bangladesh on Magh 27
- The third match vs Iraq on Magh 28
- Final group match vs Indonesia on Magh 29
The tournament will run until Magh 30.
A 20-member Nepali team, including 13 players and 7 officials, traveled to Bangladesh last Tuesday for the tournament.

In yesterday’s opening matches, Uzbekistan defeated Indonesia 8-1, while Iraq beat Bangladesh 6-0.
