Olivia Munn Reveals Traumatic Experience on Film Set

Actress Olivia Munn recently shared details about a traumatic incident she faced while working on a movie. Speaking on Monica Lewinsky’s podcast, The Newsroom star revealed that she felt compelled to report the situation to the studio due to the severity of the experience.

A Confidential Settlement Offer

Munn disclosed that after filing complaints, she was offered a settlement in the seven-figure range—on the condition that she sign a non-disclosure agreement (NDA). However, she ultimately rejected the offer, explaining that she didn’t want to silence herself in exchange for money.

While she did not disclose the name of the film or those involved, she acknowledged that the incident took place during the early days of the #MeToo movement, a time when survivors were often criticized for signing NDAs. Fearful that speaking out could undermine her credibility, Munn initially kept quiet about the experience.

Choosing Integrity Over Money

Despite legal negotiations, Munn followed her instincts and walked away from the settlement. She recalled feeling immense pride in her decision, even though it was driven by frustration. Looking back, she acknowledged that while her choice may have been the right one, she wished she had approached it with a clearer mindset rather than anger.

Munn’s History of Speaking Out

This is not the first time Munn has addressed misconduct in the industry. In 2018, she successfully pushed for a scene featuring actor Steven Wilder Striegel to be removed from The Predator after discovering he was a registered sex offender.

Throughout her career, Munn has remained outspoken about injustices in Hollywood, using her platform to advocate for accountability and safer work environments.
