Electricity supply has been disrupted in most parts of Gulmi district since Sunday night due to damage caused by strong wind.
According to the Nepal Electricity Authority (NEA), Gulmi Distribution Center, the disruption occurred after a 132 kV transmission line tower near Motipur in Kapilvastu was damaged by the windstorm.
Arjun Pokhrel, Chief of the Gulmi Distribution Center, stated that the issue in the transmission line is the reason for the power outage. The NEA has apologized for the inconvenience caused to consumers due to the unexpected disruption.
The power cut has affected administrative services, communication networks, businesses, and daily household activities across the district.
The NEA has deployed a technical team to the site and has assured consumers that efforts are underway to restore the electricity supply as soon as possible. Until the repair work is fully completed, the authority has requested customers to remain patient.
