Preity Zinta Responds to Trolls After Mahakumbh Visit

Actor Preity Zinta recently visited the Mahakumbh Mela for the third time, an experience she described as magical, heartwarming, and a bit sad. However, her visit sparked criticism from some social media users, who took issue with her “luxury” travel arrangements and VIP treatment. In response, Zinta has hit back at the trolls and shared her thoughts on dealing with negativity online.

Preity Responds to Criticism Over Her Mahakumbh Post

After sharing a post about her emotional experience at the Kumbh Mela, Zinta was criticized for flying in a private jet and receiving VIP treatment. One person questioned her visit, commenting on how privileged her travel arrangements were compared to others who couldn’t afford the same luxury.

Zinta addressed the criticism in a candid “Ask Me Anything” session on X (formerly Twitter). When a user asked why her “harmless Kumbh pic” triggered such an avalanche of trolls, she responded, “People who try to pull you down are already below you, so who cares about them and about trolls and spineless keyboard cowherds? Real guts is when you try and make a positive change around you and your environment, and make the world a better place for others and for yourself.”

Dealing with Negative Posts on Social Media

During the same session, Zinta was asked about her reaction to negative news or posts on social media. She revealed that she doesn’t check her phone much when spending time with her kids, as she prioritizes being a present mother. “I don’t want to set a bad example for them by always being on the phone,” she said. However, Zinta mentioned that she’s particularly sensitive to fake news, admitting that she’s “seriously allergic” to it.

Preity Zinta’s Reflection on Her Mahakumbh Experience

In her post, Zinta shared how her third visit to the Mahakumbh Mela left a lasting impact on her. She wrote, “It was magical because no matter how hard I try, I cannot explain how I felt. Heartwarming because I went with my mom and it meant the world to her. Sad, because I wanted to be liberated from the various cycles of life and death, only to realize the duality of life and attachment. Am I ready to let go of my family, my children, and the people I love? No! I’m not!”

She went on to reflect on the nature of attachment and the realization that the spiritual journey is ultimately a solo one, despite our earthly connections. “We are not human beings having a spiritual experience, but spiritual beings having a human experience,” she wrote, expressing a deep sense of humility and curiosity about the answers she still seeks.

Trolls React to Preity’s Privilege

While Zinta’s heartfelt post resonated with many, some users continued to criticize her for the privileges associated with her visit. One user commented, “While you enjoy luxury, flying in private jets and getting VIP treatment, the rest would visit a hundred times more if they didn’t have to struggle just to experience a little bit of that visit.” Another wrote, “Anyone who is accorded VVIP treatment can go multiple times without hassles.”

Despite the trolls, Zinta remained focused on her personal journey and the deeper spiritual lessons she took away from the experience.
