PSG vs Nantes Ligue 1 match
PSG have clinched their fourth consecutive Ligue 1 title.

Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) played a 1-1 draw against Nantes in a rearranged Ligue 1 match. The result keeps their unbeaten record in the French league this season. PSG are now looking ahead to their Champions League semi-final match against Arsenal.

Vitinha Scores First but Nantes Respond Late

Vitinha scored in the first half, giving PSG the lead. The team has already won the Ligue 1 title for the fourth time in a row. But with six minutes left in the match, Nantes equalised with a goal from Brazilian midfielder Douglas Augusto. The point helps Nantes in their battle to avoid relegation.

PSG Almost Win in the Final Moments

PSG came close to winning at the end of the game. Substitute Goncalo Ramos had a chance from a Desire Doue cross, but his header hit the crossbar. It was the last big moment of the match.

PSG Still Unbeaten Since May Last Year

Despite the draw, PSG remain unbeaten in domestic games since May of last year. They are now just four games away from becoming the first team in Ligue 1 history to finish a season without a single loss.

Nantes Hold Previous Unbeaten Record

The team that came closest to completing a perfect season was Nantes in 1994/95. They went 32 games without a loss before being beaten and still won the league that year.

PSG Sets New Away Record

With this result, PSG now holds the record for the longest unbeaten away run in Ligue 1 history. They have gone 39 matches without losing away from home since February 2023. The previous record was AC Milan’s 38-game away streak in Serie A from 1991 to 1993.

Luis Enrique Praises Team Achievement

PSG coach Luis Enrique praised his players for breaking the record. He said, “Today is special for us. I congratulate my players.” Vitinha scored the opening goal with a powerful half-volley. PSG had more of the ball but didn’t create many chances. Joao Neves had one good opportunity, but the goalkeeper made a strong save.

Nantes Show Heart and Determination

Nantes could have equalised earlier in the game, but Donnarumma saved a good shot from Jean-Charles Castelletto. Later, Matthis Abline made a long run and helped set up the equaliser for Douglas Augusto. The crowd of over 34,000 fans celebrated the goal.

Nantes Coach Proud of Team’s Effort

Coach Antoine Kombouare said he was proud of his team’s performance. He said, “We didn’t just defend well, we played well and created chances.” He called PSG’s away record “monstrous” and said the draw was a fair result.

Match Postponed for Champions League Rest

This match was originally supposed to be played on April 12 or 13. It was moved so PSG could have more rest between the two legs of their Champions League quarter-final against Aston Villa.

PSG to Face Nice Before Arsenal Clash

Before their Champions League match against Arsenal next Tuesday, PSG will play another Ligue 1 game against Nice on Friday. Coach Luis Enrique is expected to rotate his squad again. In this game, he left out Achraf Hakimi and used players like Bradley Barcola and Desire Doue from the bench.
