Ramayana Movie Set To Become India’s Most Expensive Film With ₹4,000 Crore Budget

Manster Mind Creations and Prime Focus Studios are collaborating to produce a two-part epic titled Ramayana, with an enormous budget of around ₹4,000 crores. Producer Namit Malhotra recently revealed in a podcast that this will be the most expensive film ever made in India, crossing the ₹1,000 crore mark for the first time.

About Ramayana: The Timeless Epic

The Ramayana is one of the greatest stories from Indian mythology, telling the life and adventures of Lord Rama. It is a timeless tale of heroism, duty, love, and righteousness that has inspired millions across generations and cultures.

Producer Shares Ambitious Vision And Budget

Namit Malhotra said, “By the time both parts are completed, the total cost will reach nearly $500 million. Ramayana is a legendary story that the world needs to see. We are making one of the biggest films globally. Still, I believe this budget is less than many Hollywood blockbusters. We want to create a grand movie without overspending. This film is not just about money; it’s about sharing the story of Lord Rama with the world.”

A Global Film Releasing In Over 20 Languages

The movie is being produced on the scale of major Hollywood superhero films like Batman, Superman, and Wonder Woman from DC Comics, and Marvel blockbusters. Ramayana will be released in more than 20 languages worldwide. The first part is scheduled for Diwali 2026, followed by the second part in Diwali 2027. Early glimpses of the film’s visuals and graphics have been praised for their breathtaking quality and detail.
