Indian shooters Prithviraj Tondaiman and Pragati Dubey did not reach the medal round in the trap mixed team event held in Lima, Peru. This event took place on the final day of the ISSF World Cup.

Simranpreet Kaur Brar won a silver medal in the women’s 25m pistol event. This was India’s last medal at the tournament.

India finished the tournament with a total of seven medals:

  • 4 Silver
  • 1 Bronze

USA Edges India in Medal Table

The United States also won seven medals but had more golds, which helped them finish ahead of India in the overall rankings.

China Tops the Medal Standings

China dominated the ISSF World Cup, finishing first with a total of 13 medals:

  • 4 Gold
  • 3 Silver
  • 6 Bronze

Eighteen-year-old Suruchi Inder Singh was the best performer for India. She won both of the country’s gold medals.

Suruchi Beats Star Shooter to Win Gold

Suruchi defeated Olympian Manu Bhaker to win gold in the 10m air pistol event. She later teamed up with Saurabh Chaudhary to win another gold in the mixed team event.

Indian Trap Teams Miss Medal Rounds

In the trap mixed team event, the pair of Prithviraj Tondaiman and Pragati Dubey scored 134 points and finished in 8th place. The second Indian team, Lakshay and Neeru, scored 128 and ended in 13th place. Only the top four teams moved on to the medal rounds.
