The much-anticipated film Sitamol has officially kicked off its promotions with the release of its first song, Jhumka Kanai Ma. The song was screened during a press event held on Monday, where members of the media got a first look.
A Blend of Culture and Catchy Beats
The song captures the traditional flavor of Karnali Province, featuring the vibrant hudke naach and a powerful mix of Deuda and folk tunes. Popular actors Saugat Malla and Benisha Hamal lead the visuals, bringing strong screen presence to the upbeat track.
The song features vocals by Babul Giri and Shantishree Pariyar, with music also composed by Giri. The lyrics are penned by Govinda Bhatt. The video, shot by Praveen Singh, has been choreographed by the renowned Kabiraj Gahatraj.
Film to Be a Career-Changer, Says Director
The song launch was attended by MP Gyanendra Shahi as the chief guest. He expressed confidence in the film’s quality, saying it matches the excellence of the song.
Director Rajbahadur Sane, who also co-wrote the story, made a bold statement at the event:
“This is a film made with great effort. I believe Sitamol will be a turning point in my career. It’s the best film I’ve made so far.”

Sitamol features an impressive ensemble cast, including Shreekrishna Niroula, Januka Bishwakarma, Lokendra Lekhak, Bhugol Karki, Hiuwala Gautam, Sushil Pokharel, Dinesh Regmi, RR Khadka, Gyanu Malla, Pawan Bhattarai, Kajal Bhujel, Karan Pariyar, and Aradhya DC.
The film is produced by Tulsidevi Films in collaboration with Juntara Films. The story is written by Pradeep Bhardwaj and Rajbahadur Sane. Simoz Sunuwar presents the film, with Bhugol Kumar Karki and Bikash Raj Joshi as producers. Apsara Nepali, Ajay Malla, and Kumar KC serve as executive producers, while Gangaram Shrestha is the co-producer.
