Stranger Things Season 5, On Wednesday, July 16, Netflix unveiled the teaser for the highly anticipated fifth and final season, and it’s nothing short of epic.
Hawkins prepares for its darkest battle yet
The teaser opens with a heavy sense of loss. The people of Hawkins are still haunted by the tragic death of Eddie Munson, who sacrificed himself in Season 4. A close-up of his gravestone reveals a chilling message: “Burn in hell,” showing that many still wrongly believe he was behind the town’s gruesome murders.
But his friends know the real enemy — Vecna — the terrifying monster from the Upside Down. With the gate to that dark dimension now wide open, Vecna is back and deadlier than ever, set to unleash chaos and destruction on a much larger scale.
Eleven fights back, even while being hunted
Eleven, played by Millie Bobby Brown, is more determined than ever to take down Vecna and end this nightmare. But it won’t be easy. With the government enforcing a military quarantine and launching a hunt for Eleven, she’s forced to stay hidden while still working on her secret plan to save Hawkins.
In a powerful scene, Jonathan Byers says, “After what we have been through, this thing – it ties us together forever.” That bond will be put to the test as the gang faces one final, impossible mission.
The original cast returns for an emotional goodbye
