Tengen Uzui Returns in Exclusive Demon Slayer Video Ahead of Infinity Castle Movie Release

Tengen Uzui, the flashy and fan-favorite Sound Hashira from Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba, is returning to the big screen—but just for a short while. Ahead of the highly anticipated Infinity Castle movie, fans in Japan will get a treat with a brand-new “etiquette” video featuring Uzui and his three wives.

Only in Japan for a Short Time

This special short video will play exclusively in Toho Cinemas across Japan before select movie screenings. The limited run starts on June 20 and continues until July 17. These fun shorts are usually shown before films as a lighthearted reminder to viewers to behave respectfully in theaters.

Teaser Hints at Flashy Fun

Although a teaser has already been released, the full version will only be shown in Japanese cinemas. It offers a brief but exciting look at what Uzui and his wives are up to before the main feature.

Infinity Castle Movie Hits Theaters on July 18

The official Demon Slayer: Infinity Castle movie is set to premiere in Japan on July 18, 2025. International fans won’t be left out—Crunchyroll and Sony Pictures Entertainment have secured global rights (excluding select Asian territories and Japan) and will bring the entire trilogy of Infinity Castle movies to theaters worldwide.

The Team Behind the Film

The movie is directed by Haruo Sotozaki at Ufotable, with Akira Matsushima handling both character design and chief animation duties. The music is composed by Yuki Kajiura and Go Shiina, promising another stunning visual and emotional experience.

What’s Happening in the Story

Crunchyroll describes the movie’s plot as the beginning of the final battle between the Demon Slayer Corps and Muzan Kibutsuji. After rigorous Hashira training, Tanjiro and the Hashira are suddenly dragged into the Infinity Castle—Muzan’s terrifying stronghold. This dark and dangerous place sets the stage for the ultimate showdown between good and evil.

Where You Can Watch

Crunchyroll already offers the full Demon Slayer anime series and the Mugen Train movie in both subbed and dubbed formats. The recently released Hashira Training Arc is also available for streaming.
