The Kailali police have arrested two individuals found in possession of illegal firearms.
According to Ganesh Nath from the Case Branch of the District Police Office, a police team from Malakheti Police Station and Syaule Police Post arrested 26-year-old Raju Chaudhary and 23-year-old Chandrabhadur Chaudhary from Godawari Municipality-8, Syaule, based on a special tip-off.
During a search of Raju’s residence, the police recovered one illegal firearm, along with half of a Chittal’s (Himalayan blue sheep) mane and leg. Similarly, a search of Chandrabhadur’s house uncovered another illegal firearm.
Both individuals have been detained at Malakheti Police Station, where further investigation is underway.
