A gas explosion at a Sandar momo shop in Kamalpokhari has claimed the lives of two people.
The victims have been identified as 18-year-old Rabin Rai from Hetauda and 20-year-old Bhim Bahadur Ghale from Udayapur.
According to SP Apilraj Bohara of the Kathmandu District Police, both victims passed away while undergoing treatment at Kirtipur Burn Hospital.
Nine others who were injured in the explosion are still receiving treatment.
