Two people died in a truck accident on Tuesday morning in Andhi Khola, Aanbu Khaireni Rural Municipality-1, Tanahu, along the Prithvi Highway.
The truck driver, 30-year-old Bhesh Raj Parajuli from Udayapur, and the co-driver, 28-year-old Bijay Bhishwakarma from Rautahat, both died in the crash, according to Police Inspector Munendra Thapa at the Tanahun District Police Office.
The accident happened when a truck (number plate A2-0300-1 KHA 2448) coming from the opposite direction collided with a Scorpio (number plate BA PRA 01-001 YA 1659) heading towards Andhi Khola from Dumre.
After the collision, the Scorpio was left on the road, and the truck fell off the bridge, causing the accident. Four people in the Scorpio were unharmed, the police reported. The damaged truck was pulled out with the help of a crane.
