An unidentified man’s body has been discovered on the banks of the Tamor River, which flows through the Panchthar and Tehrathum districts. The body, believed to be of a man around 30 years old, was found lying face-up on a sandy mound at the border of Tumbewa Rural Municipality-1 in Panchthar and Chhathar Rural Municipality in Tehrathum.
Locals spotted the body on Wednesday and informed the Nawa Khola Police Post. Upon receiving the information, a police team from the temporary post and the District Police Office, Panchthar, retrieved the body and sent it to the Panchthar District Hospital for a post-mortem.
The identity of the deceased has not yet been confirmed, according to Police Inspector Bina Lal Sah, spokesperson for the District Police Office.
