The US dollar has reached an all-time high in Nepal, continuing its record-breaking surge for the third consecutive day. According to the latest exchange rates released by Nepal Rastra Bank on Friday, the buying price of one US dollar is now 135.83 Nepali rupees, and the selling price is 136.42 rupees. This marks the highest rate ever recorded for the US dollar in the country.
In comparison, several other foreign currencies, including the Australian dollar, euro, British pound, and Kuwaiti dinar, have seen a decrease in value today. The Australian dollar, in particular, has been falling for the past three days.
Today’s exchange rates show that the buying rate for one euro is 141.39 rupees, while the selling rate is 142.01 rupees. Yesterday, these rates were higher at 142.42 rupees and 143.05 rupees, respectively. The British pound is also down, with the buying rate today at 171.65 rupees and the selling rate at 172.41 rupees, compared to 172.45 and 173.22 rupees yesterday.
The Australian dollar is now being bought for 84.88 rupees and sold for 85.26 rupees, down from 85.63 and 86.01 rupees yesterday. The Kuwaiti dinar and Bahraini dinar rates remain largely stable, with minor changes from yesterday.
