Marvel Studios has officially announced that Avengers: Doomsday will hit theaters on May 1, 2026, with Vanessa Kirby among the star-studded cast. Directed by Joe and Anthony Russo, the film follows their success with Avengers: Infinity War (2018) and Avengers: Endgame (2019).
Robert Downey Jr. Returns as Doctor Doom
Fans were surprised last year when Marvel revealed at San Diego Comic-Con that Robert Downey Jr. would return to the Marvel Cinematic Universe. However, this time he won’t be playing Iron Man/Tony Stark—instead, he will take on the role of the infamous villain Doctor Doom (Victor von Doom).
