Nicholas Galitzine has officially announced the conclusion of filming for the much-anticipated live-action adaptation of Masters of the Universe. The actor, who takes on the dual roles of Prince Adam and He-Man, shared the exciting news with fans on Instagram on Sunday, June 15, including a sneak peek of his He-Man costume in silhouette form.
In his post, Galitzine expressed his pride and gratitude: “Well, that’s a wrap on Masters of the Universe. It has been an honour shouldering the responsibility of playing Adam and He-Man. This role has truly been the experience of a lifetime, and I gave it my all. Though I can’t reveal much yet, I’m incredibly proud of the film we’ve created. Huge thanks to our amazing cast and crew for their dedication.”
The film is a collaboration between Amazon, MGM Studios, and Mattel Films, with Travis Knight directing. Fans can look forward to the movie hitting theaters on June 5, 2026, according to Deadline.
What is Masters of the Universe about?
The story centers on Prince Adam, a 10-year-old boy who crash-lands on Earth in a spaceship and loses his magical Power Sword—the only link to his home world, Eternia. Nearly twenty years later, Adam discovers the sword, returns to Eternia, and transforms into He-Man, the universe’s mightiest hero. His mission: to defend Castle Grayskull and Eternia from the villainous Skeletor.
