Nepali actress Nisha Adhikari has raised serious concerns over the handling of her personal life by media outlets, specifically Sutra TV, in a recent social media post. With over 1.3 million followers, Adhikari voiced frustration over what she perceives as a lack of responsibility in the media’s portrayal of her divorce.
In her post, Adhikari demanded that Sutra TV produce her divorce documents to the legal authorities, emphasizing the need for transparency and accountability. She expressed her intent to address the matter legally, stating, “We will see you soon in front of the respective authorities.”
Adhikari also pointed out the unethical behavior of certain media platforms, mentioning a leading daily newspaper that was recently blacklisted regarding a case involving a mountaineer. She reminded everyone that “no one is above the law” and highlighted the importance of safeguarding her family’s well-being.
She continued, “When it comes to my family’s well-being and sanity, there is a limit to which I can let go of things. That limit has been crossed, and I have no choice left.” She also commented on how easily some media outlets have capitalized on the personal pain and struggles of others, urging them to be more mindful of their responsibility when sharing people’s stories.
Adhikari further added that her divorce papers were not for public sale, writing, “Mero divorce ko papers kasto raicha malai pani herna mann cha. Me and my issues are not for sale. Sorry.”
In her message to podcasters and interviewers, she called for greater trust and accountability in the content they share, urging them to maintain ethical standards when presenting personal stories.
The actress closed her statement with a plea to those involved in the media industry, asking them not to exploit people’s private lives for profit. “Please don’t throw us to the wolves,” she concluded.
