Nottingham Forest put on a stunning show last night, beating Brighton 7-0 in a one-sided match at home. Chris Wood was the star, scoring a hat-trick, while Morgan Gibbs-White, Neco Williams, and Jota Silva also added goals. Brighton’s night got worse with an own goal from Lewis Dunk.

The game started with bad luck for Brighton as Dunk accidentally sent the ball into his own net while trying to clear a pass from Gibbs-White. Forest took full advantage, with Gibbs-White scoring again in the 25th minute before Wood made it 3-0 in the 32nd. The second half was just as tough for Brighton, as Wood scored twice more—once in the 64th minute and then from a penalty five minutes later. Williams and Silva scored late to finish off an incredible win. With this result, Forest moved up to third place with 47 points from 24 games, while Brighton stayed in 10th with 34 points.

Liverpool Stay on Top as Salah Shines

Liverpool kept their great form going with a 2-0 win over Bournemouth. Mohamed Salah was the key player, scoring first from a penalty in the 30th minute before adding another goal in the 75th. With this win, Liverpool remain top of the table with 56 points from 23 games, while Bournemouth sit in seventh place with 40 points from 24 matches.

In other matches, Fulham beat Newcastle 2-1, Southampton got the same result against Ipswich, and Wolves defeated Aston Villa 2-0.
