New Road Team (NRT) has won the Budha Subba Gold Cup for the third time after defeating Church Boys United 2-1 in the final at Dharan Stadium. With this victory, NRT has now secured titles in the 10th, 24th, and 25th editions of the tournament.
Match Summary
Church Boys United took the lead in the 24th minute when Ananta Tamang scored with a header from Rohan Karki’s free kick. However, NRT equalized just three minutes later. A corner kick from Robert caused confusion in the penalty area, and Henry Poku took advantage of a missed clearance by goalkeeper Krishal Moktan to score.
The second half saw NRT take control. In the 58th minute, Henry Poku intercepted a pass from Church Boys defender Serge Dika, made a strong run, and found the net to secure the win.

Henry Poku was named the best player of the final and received a cash prize.
Shishir Lekhi of NRT was declared the best player of the tournament and awarded a cash prize.
The top scorers were Samir Tamang and Armand Beadoum from Church Boys United, each scoring three goals in the competition.

NRT, as the tournament winner, received a cash prize of NPR 1 million, while Church Boys United, the runner-up, took home NPR 500,000.
