Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli recently commented that China’s new AI chatbot, DeepSeek, has emerged as a challenge to older platforms, such as ChatGPT.
Speaking at the 8th Chamber of Commerce Expo in Bhrikutimandap on Thursday, Prime Minister Oli compared DeepSeek to the powerful martial artist Bruce Lee from Hong Kong, stating it’s like a force that cannot be ignored.
“The new Chinese AI (DeepSeek) has made even ChatGPT and other AI platforms look vulnerable,” he said. “It’s at least 15 times cheaper than others, which gives it a chance to dominate the market. It’s like Bruce Lee—small in size, but packs a punch that can knock you down in an instant.”
Oli remarked that DeepSeek had taken over the market within 24 hours, causing a big stir.
