One person has died and six others were injured in a jeep accident in Doti.
The jeep (registration number Su.Pra. 02001 Ja 0567) was traveling from Dhangadhi to Purchaudi in Baitadi when it met with an accident on Tuesday night at Melkhola, located in Jorayal Rural Municipality-2, along the Bhimdatta Highway.
According to District Police Office Chief Binod Sharma, 45-year-old Harkabahadur Negi died in the accident. He was seriously injured and declared dead by doctors at Maya Metro Hospital in Dhangadhi before treatment could begin.
The injured include 27-year-old Dhirendra Negi, 44-year-old Jagdish Joshi, 53-year-old Ram Bahadur Negi, 65-year-old Dhana Negi, 28-year-old Bir Bahadur Negi, and 24-year-old driver Ashok Bam. Among them, Dhana and driver Bam are in serious condition.
All the injured are receiving treatment at the Seti Provincial Hospital.
