Police have seized a large quantity of marijuana (ganja) from a house in Pokhariya, Sukhipur Municipality–4, Siraha district.
Based on a confidential tip-off, authorities raided the house of 60-year-old Medi Yadav at 6 AM today. During the search, they recovered 27 packets of marijuana hidden inside the residence.
According to DSP Birendra Kumar Paswan, spokesperson for Siraha District Police, the total weight of the seized marijuana is 717.6 kilograms.
Medi Yadav, the owner of the house, is currently on the run. Police have launched a search operation to locate him.
The confiscated marijuana has been sent to the District Police Office, Siraha for further legal procedures and investigation. Authorities are continuing their efforts to trace the fugitive and uncover more details related to the case.
