Recently, Paresh Rawal addressed the confusion regarding the cast and confirmed that Kartik Aaryan, who was initially linked to the project, is no longer a part of the film due to significant changes in the storyline.
In an interview with Siddharth Kannan, Rawal clarified that Aaryan was never meant to replace Akshay Kumar as Raju. He explained, “Kartik was signed for the film. At that time, the story was different. He was cast for a completely different role, not as Raju.” Rawal emphasized that Akshay Kumar’s role as Raju was always intended to remain in the film.
The confusion surrounding Aaryan’s potential replacement of Akshay Kumar arose after his role in Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2, but Rawal cleared the air, stating that Aaryan’s role had no connection to Kumar’s character. “Kartik isn’t part of the film now. The story has changed,” he confirmed.
