Park Gyu Young Becomes First Korean Actor to Grace ‘Elle India’ Print Cover

Park Gyu Young has made history as the first Korean actor to appear on the print cover of Elle India. The July issue showcases the Squid Game star in a variety of stunning outfits, each highlighting her graceful yet bold presence.

From a flowing red dress with an open back to a crisp white shirt paired with a floral headscarf, Park’s style is effortlessly captivating. She also wears a white embroidered crop top with a matching skirt marked by red strokes, and a green-and-beige patterned jacket that exudes earthy elegance.

The magazine describes her as “a badass who’s too busy taking down villains (and occasional monsters) to care about how she’s perceived,” setting her apart from the typical polished K-drama heroine.

In her interview, Park opens up about how she found acting while still in university. “Being on set made me feel alive,” she shares. That spark turned into a full-blown passion, launching her journey into the world of drama and film.

Known for hits like Sweet Home, It’s Okay Not to Be Okay, and Celebrity, Park Gyu Young recently rose to global fame through her role as Kang No Eul, a North Korean sniper, in Squid Game Season 2.

When talking about her approach to acting, Park says she builds each role from the ground up. “I don’t take inspiration from other characters. I begin by creating how they look and move, then I work on understanding their emotions,” she explains.

She ends the interview by thanking fans who support Korean content and culture, expressing deep gratitude for the love she continues to receive around the world.
