A cheating scandal involving South Korean actors Park Jun Hwi and Woo Jin Young has taken the internet by storm. The controversy started after private pictures of the two surfaced on Park’s own Instagram, leaving fans stunned and sparking widespread speculation online.
Leaked Photos Hint at Secret Affair
The drama unfolded when Park’s Instagram Stories featured pictures of him and Woo in seemingly intimate moments. One photo showed the two actors sitting close together on a sofa, with Park dressed only in underwear and a T-shirt. Another post included a screenshot of a chat exchange between them, which many interpreted as flirtatious:
Park: “Can I go shower after I change?”
Woo: “Is it okay to shower?”
Park: “Since I’m showering with the door closed, there won’t be any sounds.”
Woo: “It should be okay, right?”
Park: “Yep. I’ll close the door. Raise the volume.”
Fiancée Suspected of Exposing the Affair
Fans believe that Park’s fiancée may have discovered the relationship and posted the evidence herself. The actor quickly deactivated his Instagram account after the images went viral.
Social media erupted with reactions. One user speculated, “Looks like the fiancée caught them red-handed and uploaded the photos.” Another added, “Posting the pics on his own account? That’s a bold move. Smart and savage.”
Both Actors Step Down from Theatre Performances
Park Jun Hwi and Woo Jin Young had been performing in the musical Bare: A Pop Opera, where Park played the role of Peter and Woo played Tanya. They also previously worked together on other stage projects, including Nijinsky.
Following the scandal, the production company Show Play Entertainment issued an official statement on June 5:
“Actors Park Jun Hwi and Woo Jin Young have withdrawn from the performances due to personal reasons. We sincerely apologise to the audience for the inconvenience and the casting changes. Ticket holders may cancel or get a refund without any additional fees.”
New Cast Announced, Silence from the Actors
In place of Park and Woo, actors Kang Byung-hoon and Park Do Yeon will now take over the roles in Bare: A Pop Opera. As of now, neither Park Jun Hwi nor Woo Jin Young has commented publicly about the incident.
