South Korean variety show star Park Na Rae was recently the victim of a significant theft at her Itaewon home, which led to her sudden withdrawal from a scheduled appearance on MBC Standard FM’s Son Tae Jin’s Trot Radio on April 8. The cancellation, announced just an hour before the live broadcast, prompted fans to speculate about various reasons, including a controversy involving BoA. According to an official from Park Na Rae‘s agency, the theft occurred when the entertainer was away from her residence. The official confirmed that the incident was discovered on April 7, with expensive items missing from her home. They immediately filed a report with the police that afternoon. Although the total value of the stolen goods is yet to be confirmed, it is believed to be worth millions of KRW, considering the luxury items Park Na Rae has previously shown on MBC’s I Live Alone. The entertainer’s lavish home, purchased for 5.57 billion KRW in 2021, has been featured multiple times on the show, revealing its extravagant interior and design.
Park Na Rae’s team is still assessing the situation and deciding whether to pursue further legal actions. While the show’s team initially cited “personal reasons” for her cancellation, rumors swirled that health issues or the ongoing BoA diss controversy were to blame. Just a day before Park Na Rae’s appearance, BoA made controversial comments about her on a live broadcast, which led to public backlash. When asked about the possibility of Jun Hyun Moo dating Park Na Rae, BoA responded that Jun was “too good for Park,” fueling speculation that the diss played a role in the sudden change of plans.
